Data Research and Marketing Consultant (Junior/Senior)

Our mission is to explore the world of social media and acquire a deep understanding of social media users while interpreting data into useful and actionable insights for our clients (leading consumer brands and agencies in Thailand).

As a Data Research Consultant, you will provide tailor-made social data solutions to best fit your client’s needs, ranging from understanding clients’ goals and challenges then delivering the most suitable data analytics solutions with our social media data. This role will offer a great opportunity to expand and develop insight solutions through the biggest social media sources of consumers in Thailand.

What you’ll do:

1.Client Consultation and Engagement:

  • Own a portfolio of accounts, managing the work development, execution and delivery of customized research solutions in all aspects
  • Work closely with our clients, most are marketing communication and product development team of leading consumer brands/creative/digital agencies
  • Act as the main contact point for clients and serve as a social data usage advisor

2.Data Research Analytics:

  • Design and perform a full process of research including methodologies & approaches, assumptions, data analysis, and outputs that answer what clients need for their business
  • Explore and interpret data to find the right consumer insights/implications as well as making useful and actionable recommendations
  • Perform data analysis for special and ad-hoc requests from time to time

3.Lecturer and Workshop Facilitator:

  • Host and facilitate workshop sessions relating to social data analytics for our clients
  • Assist in a workshop other lecture sessions as required from time to time

For senior level, additional responsibilities below are required:

4.Team Management:

  • Oversee team workload, work planning
  • Coaching, mentoring team members to drive their career path to success while ensuring their growths are aligned with team and company business direction

5.Business Development:

  • Oversee existing services quality and identifying product improvement opportunities
  • Analyze B2B market needs and foresee trends that can be identified as business opportunities
  • Lead the rollout of new add-on features or service improvement operations from conceptualization, strategy, planning to execution of initiatives
  • Engage in regular business reviews to increase business growth

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, or related fields
  • [For junior level] 1-3 years of experience in marketing, strategic planning, business development for consumer brands, startups, digital agency or market research firms
  • [For senior level] 4-6 years of experience in management consulting, marketing, strategic planning, business development for consumer brands, startups, digital agencies or market research firms
  • [For senior level] Experience in go-to-market approaches, growth strategy and revenue synergy design/capture with solid business acumen and judgement, commercial capabilities
  • [For senior level] Experience in team supervisor and management such as overseeing, giving instruction and monitoring team member performance as well as motivating and coaching team members to achieve their career goals
  • Social media keen user with intermediate knowledge in digital marketing
  • Strong level of competency in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables & charting), PowerPoint, basic-intermediate level in Power BI
  • Comfortable dealing with numbers and voices of customers, keen to learn how to turn data into compelling insights
  • Strong interpersonal skills: able to build strong relationships that inspire openness and trust; to collaborate in teamwork settings with colleagues and clients and to balance inquiry and advocacy.
  • Excellent Thai and English communication, negotiation and presentation skills (TOEIC score of 800 or above)
  • Able to handle multiple research projects simultaneously and maintain work quality under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, motivated by a passion to develop the practically knowledge from social media to help business go even further

Preferred Qualifications (a plus if you have at least one of these):

  • Extensive experience in social listening/monitoring tools or social media analytics tools e.g. Facebook Insights and have worked with data
  • Quantitative and qualitative research experience
  • Know programming language for data analysis i.e. python, SQL
  • Experience as a speaker, lecturer, workshop facilitator with proven records
